The Personal Financial Management Certification Program Overview

Inceptia’s Personal Financial Management Certification program is the preeminent self-paced financial education program for higher education professionals.

The certification program offers an in depth curriculum that covers a broad spectrum of financial principles that college students need to understand as they begin to make major financial decisions.

The program is broken into 15 chapters:

Certification Process:

  1. Pre-Assessment: 50 multiple choice questions
  2. Work through the textbook, online resources and knowledge checks (self-paced)
  3. Proctored Final Exam: 100 multiple choice questions, 2 hour time limit 

Once the final exam is passed with a score of 70% or better, participants are designated as Certified Personal Financial Managers (CPFM) and deemed qualified to interact and facilitate discussions around personal financial management.
