The Inceptia Institute
Inceptia has created a free online resource for higher education professionals, industry experts and others who want to help students be successful in building a strong financial foundation and furthering student success.
The Inceptia Institute, institute.inceptia.org, offers the latest industry news and research affecting students, schools, policy and financial aid.
Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, participate in polls and share best practices with their peers. The Institute’s resource center features podcasts, webinars and Inceptia-authored white papers, as well as calculators that school counselors can share with students to see the real costs involved with loan repayment and other expenses.
The site also features a panel of experts – leaders in higher education and student success – who regularly will initiate and participate in discussions about the most important issues affecting the industry today.
“We’ve designed a destination to start a conversation among people who care about the intersection of student success and financial issues,” said Inceptia Financial Education Coordinator Jen Skidmore, CPFM.
“There are so many uncertainties and so many policy changes happening that are dramatically affecting students and schools. The Inceptia Institute is a way to take the pulse of higher education, especially when it comes to student financial success, and integrate it into everyday responsibilities. We encourage everyone to contribute their two cents about these topics.”
The Institute’s event calendar features a listing by month of industry conferences, meetings, conference calls and webinars pertinent to those who want to continue learning beyond the website. Some events may count toward Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for those who have completed the Certification in Personal Financial Management through Inceptia. Visitors also may submit a suggestion for an event.
The Inceptia Institute is open to the public. Registration is available at https://institute.inceptia.org.
